Installation
On a fresh installation with no users yet, the app automatically opens the Setup page (/setup) for every request — even the login page isn't reachable until then.
Company name & administrator account
- Company name — stored as the default brand for your documents.
- Name, email, password — the first administrator account.
The password must be at least 12 characters long and is additionally checked against known data leaks.
App URL
The base address of your installation, e.g. https://donkeyworks.example.com. Determines the domain in confirmation links, such as in login emails.
Also works with a local address or IP, e.g. http://192.168.178.2:8080.
Mail delivery
Enter your mail provider's SMTP credentials: host, port, encryption, username, password, from-address, from-name.
The Verify mail server button sends yourself a six-digit confirmation code to the email address entered for the administrator account. Type the code from the email in — it's checked automatically.
Cloudflare Turnstile
A bot-protection widget from Cloudflare, an alternative to reCAPTCHA. Used here to protect the login form from automated requests.
Site key and secret key from your Cloudflare Turnstile widget. Once both fields are filled in, the widget to solve appears.

MaxMind GeoIP (optional)
A service that looks up the approximate location of an IP address. Used here for the location warning shown at login.
Account ID and license key for the location warning shown during login confirmation.

Completing setup
The Complete setup button becomes active once every required field is filled in, the mail server code is confirmed, and the Turnstile check is solved. After submitting, you're logged in and land on the dashboard.
Afterwards
Setup can only be completed once. Once it's done, /setup redirects to the regular login page instead, which you then use to sign in with the administrator account you created.
